Charlotte North Rotary holds fundraisers and provides hands-on service work for Heal Charlotte. The group furnishes housing and afterschool education, recreation, and sports program for the homeless and underprivileged youth. Current efforts focus on their Community Campus 1, housing for the homeless.
Once or twice during the year, CNR members plant trees for Trees Charlotte. The goal is to restore the tree canopy in Charlotte. The club also holds fundraisers for the group.
Along with the Cribs for Kids Organization from Pittsburg, the club sponsors a Breath of Life Stroll each year in Freedom Park. The purpose of Cribs for Kids is to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The group provides seminars on child care to new parents and gives free cribs to underprivileged families. All proceeds from this event go to Cribs for Kids.
Samaritan's Feet is a humanitarian organization that shares the message of hope and love by distributing shoes to under-served individuals around the world. This year, CNR will partner with Rotary District 7680 to acquire and distribute 1000 pairs of shoes to needy students at Title 1 schools in the Charlotte area. CNR efforts will be directed at Hidden Valley Elementary School students. For each pair donated, we will donate a pair to a child in Africa.

Charlotte North Rotary is a supporter of Hidden Valley Elementary School. Charlotte North has sponsored Opera Express at the school. This is a unique cultural offering that school-children will enjoy for the first time in their lives. The Club also collects school supplies for teachers and students at the beginning of each school year.
The club raises funds for Opera Carolina to preserve the arts in Charlotte. Members work with Opera Express to provide education concerning opera to grammar school students at Hidden Valley Elementary School.
Each year, the Charlotte North Rotary Club provides Community Service Awards to the Police Officer, Firefighter, Teacher, and Healthcare Worker of the Year. Recipients are selected by their respective organizations. Each award includes a framed certificate and an honorarium check. The club holds a fundraiser to pay for for the awards each year.
Charlortte North Rotary supports Rotary Youth Exchange students, who represent tomorrow's global citizens and leaders. Our club will sponsor exchange students visiting from abroad as well as Charlotte students studying in other countries.
